Արվեստագետի դիմանկարը պատանության հասակում
Արվեստագետի դիմանկարը պատանության հասակում (անգլ.՝ A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man), իռլանդացի հանրահայտ գրող Ջեյմս Ջոյսի մասամբ ինքնակենսագրական, դաստիարակչական վեպը, որը գրվել է 1907-1914 թթ. և 1914-1915 թթ. մաս առ մաս լույս ընծայվել The Egoist ամսագրում, 1916 թվականին էլ հրատարակվել է առանձին գրքով։ Երկում արտացոլված են երիտասարդ նկարիչ Սթիվեն Դեդալուսի հասունանալու, կայանալու տարիները (հետագայում նա հանդես է եկել նաև Ջոյսի գլուխգործոցը համարվող «Ուլիսես» վեպում)։ Սթիվենը փաստորեն հեղինակի երկրորդ ես-ն է, և վեպում տեղ են գտել Ջոյսի կյանքի բազմաթիվ իրական դրվագներ[1][2][3]։

Գլխավոր հերոսի ազգանունը առնչվում է հին հունական առասպելներից մեկի հայտնի արհեստագործ, ճարտարապետ Դեդալուսի անվանը, իսկ Սթիվեն անունը՝ առաջին քրիստոնյա նահատակ սուրբ Ստեփանոսի անվանը։ Վեպում պատկերված է զգայուն երիտասարդի պայքարն իր ժամանակի բուրժուական հասարակության սին պայմանականությունների, կաթոլիկական «անառարկելի» պոստուլատների, ազգային կեղծ արժեքների դեմ, ցույց է տրված նրա զարգացումը, մտավոր և կրոնա-փիլիսոփայական առումներով հասունացումը և նվիրումը արվեստին՝ որպես միակ բարձրագույն արժեքի։ Ընդ որում՝ Ջոյսը վեպը գրել է ոճերի միահյուսման եղանակով, մի գրելաոճ, որը հետագայում կատարելությամբ կիրառել է «Ուլիսես»-ում։ Գրականագետներից շատերի կարծիքով «Արվեստագետի դիմանկարը պատանության հասակում» վեպն էլ իր հերթին հանդիսանում է Ջոյսի ավելի վաղ գրած «Սթիվեն Հերոսը» ստեղծագործության վերամշակման արդյունքը (այդ ձեռագիրը առաջին անգամ հրատարակվել է 1944 թվականին՝ հեղինակի մահից հետո)։
Բրիտանական հանրագիտարանը տվյալներ է հավաքում Արվեստագետի դիմանկարը պատանության հասակում վեպի մասին, որը շատերի կարծիքով «պատմական ընթացքում անգլերենի ուսումնասիրման մասին պատմող լավագույն գրական-գեղարվեստական երկն է»[4]։
