Brooks & Dunn

Կիքս Բրուքսը ծնվել է 1955 թվականի մայիսի 12-ին ԱՄՆ-ի Լուիզիանա նահանգի Շրիվպորտ քաղաքում[2][4]։ Բրուքսը 1980-ական թվականներին գրել է քանթրի-երգեր[4], այդ թվում՝ համահեղինակությամբ ձայնագրել է Ջոն Քոնլեյի «I'm Only in It for the Love», Nitty Gritty Dirt Band խմբի «Modern Day Romance» և Highway 101 խմբի կատարմամբ «Who's Lonely Now» № 1 հիթերը[5]։
Ռոն Դանը ծնվել է 1953 թվականի հունիսի 1-ին ԱՄՆ-ի Տեխաս նահանգի Կոլմեն քաղաքում[2][6]։
1989 թվականին Դանը մասնակցել է Մալբորոյի կողմից հովանավորվող տաղանդների երաժշտական մրցույթին և հաղթել[5][6]։ Այս մրցույթի գրան պրին ներառում էր մրցանակային ձայնագրություն Նաշվիլում։ Այդ սեսիոն ձայնագրության պրոդյուսեր Սքոթ Հենդրիքսը Դանին խորհուրդ է տվել այն նյութը, որը ձայնագրել է պրոդյուսեր Թիմ Դյուբուան՝ այդ ժամանակ «Arista Nashville» լեյբլի ղեկավարը։ Դյուբուան էլ որոշել է միավորել Բրուքսին ու Դանին մեկ դուետում[2]։ Ընտրությունը հաջող էր և Brooks & Dunn դուետի արդեն առաջին սինգլը, որն անվանվել է «Brand New Man», 1991 թվականի սեպտեմբերին զբաղեցրել է Hot Country Songs քանթրի հիթ-շքերթի առաջին տեղը[7]։
