Էմիլի Անդերդաուն (անգլ.՝ Emily Underdown, հուլիսի 28, 1863(1863-07-28), Broughton, Preston, Լանկաշիր, Հյուսիսարևելյան Անգլիա, Անգլիա, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի և Իռլանդիայի միացյալ թագավորություն - սեպտեմբերի 5, 1947(1947-09-05), Hendon, Մեծ Լոնդոն, Անգլիա, Միացյալ Թագավորություն), անգլիացի գրող և բանաստեղծուհի։ Առավել հայտնի է հիմնականում Դանթե Ալիգիերիի աշխատանքները ժողովրդականացնելու և իր գրած մանկական ստեղծագործություններով։ Նրա գործերից շատերը գրվել են Նորլի Չեստեր կեղծանունով. այս անունը ենթադրաբար փոխառված է Չեշիր կոմսության Նորլի գյուղի անունից, որը գտնվում է Չեստեր քաղաքից ոչ հեռու։ Կեղծանունների օգտագործումը սովորական էր այն ժամանակվա կին գրողների համար։ Նա նաև նկարազարդել է «The Pageant of The Year: A Garden Record In Verse» գիրքը։

Ըստ գրականագետ Չոսերի՝ Անդերդաունը «...թերևս մանկական ամենամտահոգ հեղինակն է... նա ծանր աշխատանք է կատարել և... գրել է ամենախոհուն գրքերի շարքերից մեկը, որը մեծ հետաքրքրություն է ներկայացնում փիլիսոփայական և պատմական տեսանկյունից»։

Նա նաև հայտնի է որպես «առաջնագծի բանաստեղծուհի»` Առաջին աշխարհամարտի տարիներին գրված «Պատերազմի նվերները» ստեղծագործությամբ։

Կենսագրություն

Էմիլի Անդերդաունը ծնվել է 1863 թվականի հուլիսի 28-ին, Անգլիայւմ, Հայեր Բրոթոնում։ Նրա ծնողներն էին գնդապետ-լեյտենանտ Ռոբերտ Ջորջ Անդերդաունը և Լիդիա Անդերդաունը։ Նա չորս երեխաներից երկրորդն էր։ Վաղ կյանքի մասին շատ բան հայտնի չէ, բացի այն, որ նա 1898 թվականին ավարտել է Լոնդոնի համալսարանական քոլեջը։ Նա կյանքի առաջին տարիներին ապրել է Լանկաշիրում և Յորքշիրում՝ 1901 թվականից հետո ինչ-որ պահի տեղափոխվելով Լոնդոն։ Ամուսնացած չի եղել։

Մահացել է Լոնդոնում, 1947 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 5-ին։ Նրա եղբայրը՝ Հերբերտ Ուիլյամ Անդերդաունը (ծնվել է 1864 թվականի հուլիսի 8-ին, Չարթերհաուսում, Քեմբրիջ), ճանաչված իրավաբան էր, հնահավաք և գիտնական։
