without providing any evidence, and contradicting both the context and the source.

This issue has come up several times at WP-en. There are English-language news reports that Armenia does recognize foreign same-sex marriage (SSM), but they are few and we are not confident in their reliability. For one thing, it may be that Armenia recognizes foreign SSM, but only for purposes of immigration or residency, and does not treat them as legal marriages. That would make Armenia similar to Romania rather than to Israel.
