Թվերի տեսության մեջ Կրամերի վարկածը, որն ձևակերպվել է Շվեդ մաթեմատիկոս Հարալդ Կրամերի կողմից 1936թ․–ին,[1] հաջորդական պարզ թվերի միջև միջակայքերի չափսի գնահատումն է․ հաջորդական պարզ թվերի միջև միջակայքերն միշտ փոքր են, ուստի վարկածը քանակապես ցույց է տալիս, թե որքան փոքր կարող են լինել դրանք։ Այն պնդում է, որ
որտեղ pn–ը n–րդ պարզ թիվն է, O–ն՝ մեծ O նշանակումը, "log"–ը՝ բնական լոգարիթմը։ Թեև այս մասին Կրամերը ընդամենը ենթադրել է, սակայն նրա փաստարկը իրականում աջակցվում է հետևյալ հզոր պնդման կողմից՝
և այս ձևակերպումն գրականության մեջ հաճախ անվանում են Կրամերի վարկած։
Կրամերի վարկածի ոչ մի ձևակերպում մինչև այսօր ապացուցված չէ, սակայն հերքված էլ չէ։
Էվրիստիկական հիմնավորումը
խմբագրելԿրամերի վարկածը հիմնված է պարզ թվերի բախշման հավանականության (իրապես էվրիստիկական) մոդելի վրա, որում ենթադրվում է, որ այն բանի հավանականությունը, որ x բնական թիվը կլինի պարզ, հավասար է մոտավորապես 1/log x–ի։ Այս մոդելը առավել հայտնի է որպես պարզ թվերի Կրամերի մոդել անվանումով։ Կրամերը իր մոդելում ապացուցել է, որ վերը նշված վարկածը ճշմարիտ է 1 հավանականությամբ։[1]

խմբագրելԿրամերը նաև տվել է առավել թույլ պնդման պայմանական ապացույց այն մասին, որ

Մյուս կողմից, E. Westzynthius–ը 1931թ․ ապացուցել է, որ պարզ թվերի միջև եղած միջակայքերի մեծությունը ավելի քան լոգարիթմական է։ Այսինքն,[2]

But this constant, , may not apply to all the primes, by Maier's theorem. As pointed out by Andrew Granville,[4] a refinement of Cramér's model taking into account divisibility by small primes suggests that , where is the Euler–Mascheroni constant.
Thomas Nicely has calculated many large prime gaps.[5] He measures the quality of fit to Cramér's conjecture by measuring the ratio of the logarithm of a prime to the square root of the gap; he writes, “For the largest known maximal gaps, has remained near 1.13.” However, is still less than 1, and it does not provide support to Granville's refinement that c should be greater than 1.
