FBI Director James B. Comey provides a certificate to Bishop Calvin Woods at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) on May 25, 2016 in Birmingham, Alabama. Bishop Woods was referenced in a speech Comey provided earlier in the day and was recognized for his efforts during the Civil Rights Movement in Birmingham during the 1960s. Comey provided remarks on civil rights and law enforcement at the historic 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham.

Comey's speech was part of a two-day conference co-sponsored by the FBI and BCRI. The conference theme "Race and Law Enforcement: It's More Than Just Black and White" expands on previous lessons and discussions from conferences of years past.
