Human papillomavirus infection (HPV infection) is an infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). About 90% of HPV infections cause no symptoms, and resolve spontaneously within two years. However in some, an HPV infection persists, and results in either warts or precancerous lesions. These lesions, depending on the site affected, increase the risk of cancer of the cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus, mouth, or throat. Nearly all cervical cancer is due to HPV; with two types, HPV16 and HPV[1]18, accounting for 70% of cases.[1][2] Between 60% and 90% of the other cancers listed above are also linked to HPV.[2] HPV6 and HPV11 are common causes of genital warts and laryngeal papillomatosis.[1]
Մարդու Պապիլոմավիրուս վարակ (HPV վարակ), հարուցված Մարդու Պապիլոմավիրուսի կողմից (ՄՊՎ)[3]։ ՄՊՎ վարակի մոտ 90%-ը ախտանիշներ չի առաջացնում եւ հանկարծակի անցնում է 2 տարվա ընթացքում[4]։Այնուամնայնիվ, որոշ դեպքերում ՄՊՎ վարակը հարաճում է եւ հանգեցնում է գորտնուկների կամ նախաքաղցկեղային ախտահարումների[1]։Այս ախտահարումները՝ կախված տեղակայումից, մեծացնում են արգանդի վզիկի ,իգական արտաքին սեռական օրգանների,հեշտոցի,առնանդամի,հետանցքի,բերանի կամ կոկորդի քաղցկեղի առաջացման ռիսկը։Արգանդի վզիկի քաղցկեղի գրեթե բոլոր տեսակների հարուցիչն է ՄՊՎ–ն, որոնցից 2 տեսակները՝ ՄՊՎ16 եւ ՄՊՎ18, դեպքերի 70%–ի պատասխանատուն են։ Վերոնշյալ այլ ուռուցքների 60%–ից 90% նույնպես ՄՊՎ հարուցված են։ ՄՊՎ6 եւ ՄՊՎ11 սեռական գորտնուկների եւ կոկորդի պապիլոմատոզի առաջացման հաճախակի պատճառներն են։
