"O Tannenbaum"(գերմ.՝ "O Tannenbaum", անգլ.՝ "O Christmas Tree", "O fir tree"), գերմանական Սուրբ ծննդյան երգ, որի հիմքում ընկած է ավանդական ժողովրդական երաժշտությունը։ Այն կապված է ավանդական Տոնածառի հետ դեռևս 20-րդ դարի սկզբից և երգվում է որպես Սուրբ ծննդյան երգ։

Երգի ժամանակակից բառերը գրվել են 1824 թվականին երգեհոնահար, ուսուցիչ և կոմպոզիտոր Էրնստ Անշյուցի կողմից, ով ծագումով Լայպցիգից էր։ Տոնածառը դա եղևնի է։ Երգի բառերը իրականում կապված չեն Սուրբ ծննդյան հետ կամ չեն նկարագրում զարդարված տոնածառ։ Իրականում երգի մեջ նկարագրվում է եղևնու մշտադալարությունը որպես կայունության և հավատարմության խորհրդանիշ^[1]։

Էրնստ Անշյուցը իր երգը ստեղծել է հիմնվելով 16-րդ դարի Սիլեզիական «Ach Tannenbaum» ժողովրդական երգի վրա՝ գրված Մելխիոր Ֆրենկի կողմից։ Այս երգից ոգեշնչվելով 1819 թվականին Յոախիմ Ավգուստ Զերնեքը (1777–1827) գրել է մի երգ ողբերգական սիրո մասին՝ հավատարիմ եղևնուն հակադրելով անհավատարիմ սիրահարի հետ։ Ժողովրդական երգն առաջին անգամ կապվել է Սուրբ ծննդյան հետ Անշյուցի կողմից, ով ավելացրել է ևս երկու տուն։ Տոնածառի ավանդույթը զարգացում է ապրել 19-րդ դարում և երգը սկսվել է համարվել Սուրբ ծննդյան երգ։

Մեղեդին հին ժողովրդական երաժշտություն է, որը վավերացված է 16-րդ դարում։ Այն նաև հայտնի է որպես « Es lebe hoch der Zimmermannsgeselle»-ի և «Lauriger Horatius»-ի մեղեդի։
