Մամուլում քննարկումներն ու լուսանկարները հատկապես կարևոր նշանակություն ունեցան ցեղասպանության մասին հանրությանը կրթելու համար<ref name="museum">{{cite Ռեպորտաժները հիմնականում ներառում էին [[Օսմանյան կայսրություն|Օսմանյան կայսրության]] տարբեր տարածաշրջաններում գտնվող օտարերկրացի թղթակիցների, ճանապարհորդների և հյուպատոսների կամ դեսպանների ռեպորտաժները։ Բացի այդ, մանրամասն զեկույցներ են ստացվել միսիոներներից, ովքեր ականատես են եղել զանգվածային սպանությունների և փորձել են օգնել որբերին և մյուս փրկվածների։ Տեղի մամուլում Օսմանյան կայսրությունում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունները հիմնականում լուսաբանել է օսմանյան կառավարության պաշտոնական թերթը՝ «Տակվիմ-ի-Վեկայի»-ն։ [[Երիտթուրքերի դատավարություն (1919-1920)|1919-1920 թվականների երիտթուրքերի դատավարության]] ժամանակ թերթը հատուկ նշանակություն է ձեռք բերել, քանի որ հաղորդել է թուրք պաշտոնյաների խաչաձև հարցաքննությունների և դատարանի դատավճռի մասին, որը [[Թալեաթ Մեհմեդ|Թալաթին]], օսմանյան կառավարությանն այն բանի համար, ինչը «ոչնչացման», «բնաջնջման» և «ռասայի արմատախիլ անելու» արշավ էր համարում<ref name="syrianpress" />։
