Կոնցեպտուալ արվեստում [[միտք]]ը կամ կոնցեպտը աշխատանքի կարևորագույն մասն են կազմում:Երբ արվեստագետը ընտրում է արվեստի կոնցեպտուալ օգտագործումը,դա նշանակում է ,որ բոլոր պլանները և որոշումները արվում են նախօրոք,իսկ կատարումը մակերեսային բնույթ ունի:Դրանում միտքը դառնում է այն «մեքենան» որը արվեստ է ստեղծում:
