Error bars represent ±1 standard deviation of the mean. All left eyes were mirrored horizontally to allow comparison with the right eyes across the groups. The pale area between the vertical dotted lines (eccentricities +10 to +20 deg) corresponds to the region of the visual fields affected by the physiological blind spot for each participant.
