מ' מרגליות במהדורתו של ספר הרזים (ירושלים, שתכ"ז), עמ' 31 קובע שחיבור זה הוא "ס' אדם" האבוד.
דף קנא ע"א-קעה ע"א: "זה ספר הרזים שנגלה לחנוך בן ירד בן מהלל בן קינן בן אנוש בן שת בן אדם בשנת שלוש מאות שנה לחיי ירד" ובסופו "תמו דברי ספר הרזים" (קעז ע"א). וזהו אחת הנוסחאות של ס' הרזים שפרסם מרגליות.
